An Inscribed Glass Archer’s Ring (Zihgir)

An elegant archer’s ring of characteristic asymmetrical, ovoid form with a prominent, sloping thumb-guard, expertly carved from deep emerald-green glass imitating jade. The broad exterior slope is finely inlaid with a gold or silver wire inscription in flowing Arabic script reading “Allah Hu” (“He is God”), surrounded by stylized vegetal scrolls and protective talismanic markers. The sides of the ring are further embellished with inset, cabochon-cut rubies secured within simple gold bezels (kundan), adding a vibrant contrast to the rich green ground.
